Time and space are ubiquitous aspects of reality. It is hard to imagine a day in our life going by without making use of temporal and spatial information. There has been a lot of interesting work in studying time and space from the point of view of various research areas and applications.

Our working group engages in spatio-temporal modeling, especially in the following aspects:

    • Concept and theory of modeling space and time
    • Cognition of space and time
    • Spatial and spatio-temporal data models and structures
    • Spatial and spatio-temporal topology and relationships
    • Spatio-temporal data indexing and query for vector-based spatial data
    • Computational geometry for spatio-temporal modeling
